Bacteriological Peptone

MAST® Bacteriological Peptone is a high-grade enzymatic digest of meat supplied as a light brown granular powder. It is a rich source of amino acids and vitamins, supporting excellent growth of fastidious organisms in suitable media. Free from fermentable carbohydrates, it is suitable for biochemical testing media. Its high tryptophan content also allows use in the demonstration of indole production.
